Travelport, Air Peace Seal Multi-Year Deal to Expand Global Content Distribution

Travelport, a leading global multi-source content provider powering travel bookings worldwide, has signed a new multi-year content agreement with Air Peace Limited, Nigeria’s and West Africa’s largest airline, in a move set to strengthen the airline’s international reach and visibility.
The strategic partnership will enhance Air Peace’s content distribution across Central and West Africa and major international markets, while enabling the carrier to leverage Travelport’s advanced retailing, rich content and branding capabilities through Travelport.
The agreement reflects rising demand among airlines in emerging markets for modern retailing and distribution technologies that extend global reach, improve visibility with travel agencies and enable carriers to better showcase their products and brand identity.
Air Peace operates extensive passenger and charter services across Nigeria and West Africa, with international connections to the Middle East, the Caribbean and the United Kingdom. Under the expanded partnership, the airline’s full content will now be accessible to hundreds of thousands of travel agencies worldwide using Travelport’s next-generation marketplace, Travelport.
Speaking on the development, Chief Commercial Officer at Travelport, Damian Hickey, said the deal reinforces the company’s footprint in key African markets.

This agreement strengthens our content offering in these markets while enabling Air Peace to extend its global reach and deliver enhanced, branded content to travel agencies worldwide”, Hickey said.
Also commenting, Chief Commercial Officer of Air Peace Limited, Nowel Ngala, described the partnership as a major milestone in the airline’s growth and international expansion strategy.

With the enhanced distribution capabilities, Air Peace is positioning itself to compete more effectively on the global stage while offering travel partners richer content, better branding and improved booking experiences.
