SAHCO sees 131% surge in half-year profit
Skyway Aviation Handling Company Plc has recorded a significant 131 per cent increase in profit after tax for the half-year ended June 30, 2025.
The company’s unaudited financial results showed that profit after tax rose to N3.63bn in the period under review, up from N1.57bn reported in the corresponding period of 2024.
SAHCO’s revenue also surged 69 per cent to N10.68bn from N6.31bn in the first half of 2024, driven by increased operations across its aviation handling services.
Gross profit doubled to N7.14bn compared to N3.75bn recorded in the previous year, while operating profit more than doubled to N4.65bn from N1.87bn.
The company’s administrative expenses increased to N2.6 bn from N1.94bn, reflecting higher operational activities.
Finance costs remained relatively stable at N73.17m compared to N74.53m, while finance income declined to N7.5m from N82.5m.
SAHCO’s total comprehensive income for the half-year rose to N3.59bn from N1.5bn, despite recording a foreign exchange loss of N33.6m during the period.
The company declared a dividend payment of N812m for the period, up from N406m in the previous year.
At the end of June 2025, SAHCO’s total assets stood at N52.97bn, up from N37.96bn the previous year, supported by growth in property, plant and equipment as well as trade receivables.
