RCCG THE ENVOYS’ SUPPORTS CHURCH MEMBERS AMID ECONOMIC CHALLENGES WITH STIPEND
A Worship Service at The Envoys, a parish of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), located at Excellence Hotel Ogba, Lagos, took a heartwarming turn, when Pastor Daniel Olawande fondly called PDaniel, the lead pastor, asked members to write down their account numbers. What started as a fun activity turned into a gesture of financial support for the members as they navigate the challenging economic situation in Nigeria.
With the rising cost of living in the country placing a heavy burden on many families and the desire to ease the financial strain on his church members, allowing them to meet some of their basic needs during these tough times, the church initiative, which involved the distribution of ₦3,000 – N10,000 stipends to members, has sparked widespread excitement and gratitude on social media.
The news of the stipend quickly spread online, with many church members taking to social media to share their excitement and appreciation. In heartfelt posts, beneficiaries expressed their gratitude to the leadership of the church, highlighting the impact of the gesture on their lives. Many emphasized how the financial support has come at a critical time, helping them cover daily expenses such as food, transportation, and other essentials.

The initiative which benefitted Ministers, workers and members amongst others, is part of the church leadership’s ongoing efforts to demonstrate practical Christianity, encouraging the congregation to show love and support to one another.
