Overland Airways Secures ISO 9001:2015 Certification

Overland Airways has earned the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System (QMS) certification, reinforcing its commitment to operational excellence, safety, and superior customer service.
The prestigious certification follows months of rigorous audits and evaluations conducted in accordance with international standards set by the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO). The certificate was formally presented during a ceremony at the airline’s Head Office Boardroom at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 17, 2026.
In her opening remarks, the airline’s Chief Administrative Officer and ISO Champion, Mrs. Aanu Benson, described the achievement as a reflection of Overland Airways’ deliberate effort to integrate quality into every layer of its operations. The certificate presentation was led by the Managing Director of NECA’s Global, Mr. Noruwa Edokpolo, alongside auditor Miss. Ibukun Ajala.
Also speaking at the event, Mr. Williams Onwuka of Fine Spectra Consult commended the airline’s discipline and dedication throughout the certification process, noting that the accomplishment underscores a strong culture of compliance and continuous improvement.
Delivering the closing remarks, the Managing Director, Captain Edward Boyo, highlighted the strategic value of the certification to the airline’s growth trajectory.
“This is a valuable and powerful certification that will guide us going forward. For us, it is more than a principle; it is a way of life”, he stated.
The Executive Director, Mrs. Aduke Atiba, gave the vote of thanks, appreciating the collective commitment of staff and partners whose efforts made the milestone possible.
The ISO 9001:2015 certification complements Overland Airways’ 11-year IOSA certification and its membership of the International Air Transport Association (IATA), further affirming the airline’s adherence to globally recognised safety and quality standards.
Together, these credentials strengthen Overland Airways’ position as a dependable and customer-focused carrier in Nigeria and the region, particularly with the recent reintroduction of its Ibadan, Warri, and Minna routes.
