Over 1,000 Aviation Professionals Graduate from Ethiopian Aviation University
Ethiopian Aviation University has announced the graduation of 1,053 professionals in various aviation fields, including international trainees from 18 countries.
The vibrant graduation ceremony was held at the university’s facility, attended by esteemed guests such as Ethiopian Airlines Group Board Chairman, His Excellency Lt. Gen. Yilma Merdasa and Ethiopian Airlines Group CEO, Mr. Mesfin Tasew.
The graduates comprise 524 cabin crew, 293 aircraft maintenance technicians, 214 commercial and ground services trainees, 41 pilots, and eight marshalling and aerobridge operators.
Tasew congratulated the graduates, stating that their achievement is not only personal but also a milestone for the industry in Africa and globally. He emphasised that the graduates will shape the future of the aviation industry as tomorrow’s leaders.
The graduating class showcases the university’s commitment to gender diversity, with 579 male and 474 female aviation professionals. Ethiopian Aviation University offers a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, including degree programmes in aeronautical engineering, aviation management, tourism and hospitality management.
The university also provides diploma and certificate programmes in various aviation fields, ensuring comprehensive education and training for all aviation professionals.
