FirstBank enhances digital experience with biometrics

first-bankFirstBank has introduced advanced facial biometric technology on its mobile banking application, FirstMobile.

According to the bank, the upgrade includes facial recognition sign-up and activation, as well as virtual credit cards for secure online shopping, among other features.

The lender stated that the enhancements aim to provide customers with a seamless, secure, and efficient digital banking experience.

Commenting on the upgrades, Group Executive, E-Business and Retail Products Division, FirstBank, Chukwuma Ezirim, said:

The bank added that the new features address the diverse needs of its customers, including new users, diaspora customers without cards, those with lost or expired cards, individuals who have opted out of card use, and users experiencing card verification issues or lacking easy access to card details.

“This feature will provide seamless access to essential banking services, such as fund transfers and bill payments, ensuring swift, reliable, and convenient transaction processing for all users,” FirstBank stated.
