DSP BARAU JIBRIN AN EGGHEAD POLITICIAN IN  NIGERIAN POLITICAL SOIL 

The beauty of life does not depend on how long one lives on earth, but depend to the great extent, on how one is able to impact positively on the lives of others and by extension, his nation.

His contribution spanned several key areas including bill sponsorship infrastructure development, empowerment initiative and scholarship program.

His record of enviable and formidable achievements bears true testimony of a Senator whose passion for empowering and alleviating the plight of many, particularly the youth and down trodden masses.

Deputy Senate President Barau I. Jibrin legislative activities include renaming the Federal University of Education to Maitama Sule Federal University of Education Kano and the renaming was in recognition of the contribution of the late elder statement and diplomat to the development of Kano, the North and the country in general.

He also sponsor a Bill on NWDC which was assent by Mr. President on Thursday, July 23rd 2024, this will undoubtedly remain a historic and unforgettable day in the history of Senator Barau Jibrin political career and indeed the entire people of the seven state in North-West geo-political zone.

The North-West development commission NWDC was established to address the development challenges of seven state include, Kano, Kaduna, Jigawa, Zamfara, Sokoto, Katsina, Kebbi. The seven North-West state, and already 585.9 billion Naira has been proposed for the commission to take up in the 2025 budget proposal presented at joint session at the National Assembly.

When the 10th assembly was inaugurated among the 109 Senators in the country there record showed that Senator Barau topped the bill sponsor chart of the parliament, that is why the members of the Senate press corps, the umbrella body of all journalists covering the Senate presented the Deputy President of the Senate with the highest development driven Bill award which was base on the analysis of Bill sponsorship from June 13th, 2023.

On how he was able to rise to search and amazing height within a space of 18 months.
