Afriland Properties Limited, manager of Afriland Towers is currently taking a comprehensive safety review of the building gutted by fire and its other facilities to avert future emergency episodes.
This includes working with independent fire safety experts, regulatory agencies and insurers to ensure elevated safety protocol even beyond regulatory requirements.
Head of Brand Marketing and Corporate Communications, Chukwunonso Okafor, who disclosed this in Lagos, stated that for now the Afriland Towers remains closed until  it undergoes thorough safety audits, deep post-fire cleaning and necessary reconstruction.
According to the Image Maker, further measures would also be implemented to restore the environment and ensure it is fully habitable as reoccupation would take place once the building is certified safe by the relevant authorities.
Afriland Properties Plc as a corporate entity has learnt invaluable lessons that would help prevent a reoccurrence as well as provide guidance and support to other organizations in strengthening their disaster prevention measures.
Okafor said that other properties under their care would continue to operate safely even as they are set to proactively review all facilities under it’s management to ensure they meet the highest safety standards.
The Spokes Person assured that the fire incident would definitely strengthen their commitment to safety across its portions, adding that with their closo work with all regulatory agencies, findings would shape the next phase of corrective measures.
OPEN BUSINESS newspaper learnt that Afriland Properties PLC  has already put in place grief counseling, flexible work arrangements and dedicated support channels for staff during this mourning and healing period.
