B’Odogwu soars: PTML Customs Achieves N204.7B Half Year Revenue Milestone as Stakeholder Utilisation Hits 90%

The Ports Terminal Multiservices Limited (PTML) Command of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has declared a total collection of N204,725,634,459.55 for the first half of 2025, attributing the milestone to the successful implementation of the B’Odogwu platform.
This figure is N52,077,116,927.50 higher than the N152,648,517,532.05 collected in the same period of 2024, representing a 34.1 per cent increase.
The Command’s Area Controller (CAC), Comptroller Tenny Daniyan, announced that the platform has generated N301,890,791,315.50 since its rollout on November 11, 2024, pointing out that despite the initial challenges, the platform has achieved over 90 per cent stakeholder utilisation and compliance level.
Daniyan stated that the Command has started receiving cargo from the Far East/China, in addition to Europe and American ships berthing at the Port. He affirmed that while the Command holds the number one record of fastest cargo clearance time of two hours in line with the Time Release Study (TRS), “only declarations made with integrity can enjoy the benefits of faster clearance”.
On the volume of trade at the Command, the Area Controller disclosed that 52 vessels were berthed, 13,431 containers received, and 30,400 assessments done between January and June 2025. He noted that given the peculiar nature of the Command as the area for pilot phase rollout for B’Odogwu, it has intensified its existing stakeholders’ engagement through intensive training sessions for officers and customs agents.
The CAC described the B’Odogwu platform as a “revolutionary home-grown trade platform” that has become an enduring legacy for trade facilitation and revenue collection. He expressed gratitude to the Comptroller General of Customs, Adewale Adeniyi, for designating PTML as the pilot area for the B’Odogwu platform and congratulated him on his emergence as Chairman of the Council of World Customs Organisation (WCO).
The Area Controller highlighted that Adeniyi’s led customs is resonating across the globe, adding that his introduction of policies such as Authorised Economic Operator (AEO), Time Release Study (TRS), and Advance Ruling greatly contributed to Nigeria’s global recognition.
