2027 presidency: It’s turn of South-East – ACC declares

Allied Conservative Congress (ACC), has called for the Nigeria President of South-East extraction come 2027, saying that it would sustain the unity of Nigeria.

The Chairman of the party, Olusegun Peters, who stated this during the inauguration of Abia State executives of the party in Umuahia, said that the Igbo were yet to produce Nigeria President since the assassination of the former head of state, Gen. Johnson Aguiyi-Ironsi on 29th of July, 1966.

Represented by the ACC National Vice Chairman, Northwest, Ibrahim Abdullahi, Peters disclosed that since the return of democracy 25 years ago, no Igbo person has occupied the number one seat of the country with North and South West each occupying the seat twice.

Abdullahi, who described Igbos as industrious people, expressed hope that the prevailing economic hardship in the country can be addressed by the ingenuity of an Igbo man.

Inaugurating the new Abia executives, the National party Chairman called for unity of purpose and collaboration among the State Working Committee (SWC), adding that the party has the interest of all Nigerians, irrespective of religious, ethnic and educational background.
