Nigeria Poised to Host Prestigious ACI Africa Regional Conference

Nigeria is set to host the Airports Council International (ACI) Africa Regional Conference and Exhibition in September 2026, following a high-level meeting between the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, and ACI Africa Secretary General, Alli Tounsi.
The conference will bring together aviation stakeholders from across the continent to discuss key issues and shape the future of African aviation.
During the meeting, Keyamo expressed Nigeria’s full readiness to host the event, citing the country’s capacity, infrastructure, and commitment to delivering a world-class conference.
The Managing Director of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), Olubunmi Kuku, outlined preparations underway, including discussions with a five-star hotel to host the event.
Tounsi emphasised the strategic importance of Nigeria’s role in African aviation and the strong case for the country to host the conference.
The visit marked a significant milestone in Nigeria’s aviation diplomacy and solidifies the nation’s leadership position within Africa’s aviation community. With preparations already underway, Nigeria is confident of hosting a successful and memorable event.
